Current Kenya Travel Situation

Here is what I know:

1. Contrary to reports, Nairobi CBD is probably the safest place in the country at the moment with armed police outnumbering random pedestrians by 10 to 1...in short it is a ghost town

2. Ngong road around Nakumatt Junction has reported flare-ups but I've seen no evidence of that

3. If you can avoid Kisumu for the next couple of days that would seem wise

4. Areas around Kisii are causing problems

5. The road from Eldoret to Kisumu is apparently completely blocked

6. Although Mombasa is a place to keep an eye on, right now it is like Nairobi CBD...strong armed presence guarding a ghost town
